Zum Amphietheater in Xanten

We went to eat in the amphitheater with a group of several including two children. We were guided by the many good reviews. The location and interior were rustic, but no longer really contemporary. We were greeted at the entrance with a relatively unfriendly "Yes?" welcomed. The menu was seasonal and there was something for every taste. Relatively large portions, but the (children's) nugget portion was clearly too big for a 2-year-old who was a good eater (the menu had 4 nuggets, we got a huge plate with 9 nuggets, a large portion of french fries and a salad). Unfortunately a little wasted at this point. The food was "Okay", if you were to rate school grades, a 3 with a tendency to 4. Meat partly dry, partly salty and warmed up and not freshly prepared because of the speed - but we were full. The biggest point of criticism of the evening goes to a lady of the service - seldom been served so unfriendly, sometimes the order was incorrectly noted and criticism dismissed, some plates were almost thrown on the table and orders were received with a brief "Mhh" or "Yes .." . I can only hope that the "performance" was on the day's form, which is why I am giving two stars at this point to give room for improvement. I'm afraid, however, that we won't go to the restaurant at the amphitheater again, the overall impression was simply not good enough. It's a shame .. It would have potential due to the beautiful location.

We went there for coffee from Xanten. An advertising sign pointed to the cafe and restaurant and I was looking forward to a nice piece of cake and a coffee. When we asked the waiter what kind of cake she was giving, we got the answer , we have no cake and we only have expresso, pot of coffee and capocino. I was very disappointed, anyone who advertises with a cafe but does not have anything like that is very misleading. The waiter and waitress were also not really motivated to be friendly. These restaurants are not suitable for a coffee. We will definitely not be back

We just wanted to have a drink, but had to wait a long time for service. Although not very busy. The service was unfortunately unfriendly, we felt almost undesirable. We didn't get a card at all. We had to wait a long time for the drinks, especially for the cappucino. However, the beer garden itself is really nice and quiet. great location We will probably not go there again ..

we were with our Skatclub here, the restaurant is very comfortable and still from the place very good and generous. the food is very good, fresh and very tasty. The portions are very large, and yet inviting arranged. I had a beef soup for starters, which was delicious, and I could see directly as a layman and see that it was made fresh from ingredients, the creamy schnitzel I had was delicious. Everyone else was very satisfied, and all meals were perfect. the prices were reasonable and actually very cheap. I have a nice little dick as a friend, she will invite me if she comes from Cologne, right here.

The food is really delicious. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is totally broken, from this one older female "main" thing. This rattled a coworker again and again very badly, which meant that the delicious food did not taste. We felt totally uncomfortable staying there. Conclusion: food good, service absolute no go !!! Unfortunately, I can only award one star for the reason.

Great food, drank a lot and danced with DJ Helmut great.

I give this restaurant 2 stars. We wanted to eat there. Since it was only from 17: 30. Therefore, we can not rate this restaurant properly. The menu was very VERSATILE.

Tasty and cheap. Some special offers. Nice beer garden. Calm.
